This Cookie Policy explains how Youli Global Limited (“Youli,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at youli.tech and in the survey and panel services we operate (the “Services”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes the Personal Information we handle and your rights over it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They allow the site to recognize your browser on a later request, which is how a site can remember a setting you chose or count how many distinct visitors it received. Similar technologies, such as web beacons (also called clear gifs or pixel tags) and local storage, can be used for the same purposes, and this policy covers those as well.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the Services to work. They support basic navigation, keep a session active while you are signed in or while you are completing a survey, remember your language choice, and protect against fraudulent or duplicate survey activity. Without these cookies, parts of the Services cannot be provided, so they are set whenever you use the Services and cannot be switched off from within the Services.

Analytics and performance cookies. These help us understand how the Services are used in aggregate — for example how many people visit a page, which pages they visit, whether a visitor is new or returning, and how long it takes respondents to complete a survey. We use this to find broken or slow pages and to improve survey design. The reporting we produce from these cookies is aggregated and is not used to build an advertising profile about you.

Survey delivery cookies. When you take part in a survey, cookies may be used to record that you have already seen or completed a particular survey so that you are not asked to take it again, and to help verify the quality and uniqueness of responses.

Third-party cookies. Some surveys are hosted for our clients, and some are delivered through third-party websites or mobile applications. In those cases the client or the third-party publisher may set its own cookies, governed by its own cookie and privacy policies rather than this one. We encourage you to read the applicable policy before taking part. Our Privacy Policy explains when Youli acts as a controller for its own websites, panels and marketing, and when Youli acts as a processor handling survey data on a client's instructions.

How to refuse or delete cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you see the cookies that have been stored, delete them individually or all at once, block cookies from specific sites, and block third-party cookies or all cookies. The controls are usually found under Settings, in a section named “Privacy,” “Privacy and security,” “Cookies and site data,” or similar; your browser's help pages give the exact steps for the version you are running. Browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards cookies when you close it.

Please be aware that we rely on cookies for the proper operation of the Services. If your browser is set to reject cookies, the Services may not function properly — you may be unable to sign in, to complete a survey, or to be credited for a survey you have completed. If you refuse cookies from the Services, you assume responsibility for any resulting loss of functionality or benefits.

Your browser settings may also allow you to transmit a “Do Not Track” signal to the sites you visit. As stated in our Privacy Policy, we do not currently alter our practices when we receive a “Do Not Track” signal.
